Google 已於 2011/11/02 將新版 Gmail 9 項改善導入台灣，Gmail 使用者可開始可自行選擇是否試用囉！

Gmail 新版使用方式：
進入 Gmail 網頁，可看見網頁右下角出現「切換至新版介面」的通知，點一下「切換至新版介面」按鈕，即可開始試用喔。

此次 9 項改善：
1. 全新外觀，
2. 更加簡潔新穎，
3. 新的背景主題，
4. 改良的會話群組畫面，
5. 新的自訂方式，
6. 更方便的調整功能，
7. 更方便好用的搜尋和篩選器功能，
8. 切換到通訊錄和工作表，
9. 新的工具列。


9 項增強功能綜觀：
1. 全新外觀：
與 Google+ 介面整合，只要登入 Gmail 並按一下 [切換至新版介面]，即可立即改用 Gmail 新版介面。

2. 更加簡潔新穎：
從改良的會話群組畫面到更多的自訂選項和最新的背景主題，Gmail 介面現在變得更加簡潔新穎。

3. 新的背景主題：
探索全新的背景主題，並且自訂 Gmail 的外觀。
已增添新的主題，加入了全新的背景色彩與圖片選項。在這次 Gmail 的改版中，汰換了一小部分的主題。

4. 改良的會話群組畫面：
Gmail 新版介面中的會話群組檢視畫面經過重新設計，可讓郵件的內容顯示在最前面，而且還加上個人資料相片，讓使用者對書信往來的對象一目了然。
提供精簡的電子郵件介面，讓使用者在閱讀時更為方便，同時更清楚地顯示參與會話群組的使用者。

5. 新的自訂方式：
現在可從三種不同的顯示密度 (標準、適中、密集) 選擇其一，藉此設定螢幕一次要顯示的郵件數量。

6. 更方便的調整功能：
使用者也可以更自由地調整即時通訊視窗大小，只要將視窗拖曳至想要的大小即可。

7. 更方便好用的搜尋和篩選器功能：
新的搜尋框能讓使用者更輕鬆地自訂搜尋條件，精準找到使用者需要的結果。此外，使用者也可以直接在搜尋框內建立篩選器。
Gmail 的搜尋功能易於使用且功力高強。運用頂端的搜尋框即可在 Gmail 中和網路上執行搜尋功能。

8. 切換到通訊錄和工作表：
